Buddhism Overview

Do you know about Buddhism??? Buddhism was found by Siddharta Gautama in India. Here is a short story. Siddharta Gautama was a prince. One day, he looked four new things in his life. He looked sick people, old people, dead people, and hermit. He thought "Why is life so horrible??? Why do people become old??? Whe do people become dead???" He asked to his own self. He said, "There must be a reason why does this life look like this". And finally, the hermits gave Siddharta a inspiration. Finally, he made final decision. Sidharta would like to be a hermit. When he was 29, he left her wife and son to find the truth. He became a hermit. His journey started. For 6 years, he struggled to find the secret of this life. Finally, in Boddhi tree Sidharta Gautama found Buddha's Dharma and became a Buddha.

After he had reached perfect understanding, he went home. He met his wife and son. Then he told about Dharma that he discovered to all people. Dharma is the secret about this life that Sidharta discovered. Buddha Gautama had been teaching about Dharma for 45 years with his students. Finally, when Buddha Gautama had been 80 years old, he died. He said that "This is my last life". Althought, Buddha Gautama have died, Dharma is still being learned by people in the world. The point of Buddha's Dharma is love and peace. In Buddhism, love is the most important. Faith doesn't get a place in Buddhism.

All Buddhist say "Sabbe Satta Bhavantu Sukhitatata".
It means "Hopefully, all creatures in universe are happy"
